As we move forward to the next few months we have a few “SAVE THE DATES’ to mark on your calendars. First is the fireman’s convention WAVP dinner September 7th, 2016. The State fireman’s convention is being held in Waverly and the WAVP is hosting a dinner on the 7th. We are serving hamburgers and brats, with all the fixings, for the cost of $8.00 and a second sandwich for $2.00. All members are welcome to this event also. Another event is the membership dinner October 19, 2016. Dues are $20.00 and can be paid to Jean Lanske: 416 4th Street SW Waverly, IA 50677 and can mailed now or paid the night of the dinner. If you pay now, new membership cards should be available the night of the dinner. More information on the dinner will be in an upcoming newsletter. We will have an SEC meeting October 23 in Cedar Falls. All members including officers of Post #79 are encouraged to come. This is a great time to mingle with other auxiliary members from across the state, hear what other Auxiliaries are doing, and also learn more about what is being planned on the State level .Another date to mark on your calendars will be a recognition dinner for myself as Ladies Auxiliary President. It will be January 14, 2017 at the new WAVP facility. Again, more information will be printed in an upcoming newsletter.

Special note the Auxiliary members! We may have to move our August meeting venue. We will be starting to move equipment, tables and chairs from the existing building into the new facility. I will send out information as needed.
